As I have mentioned a number of times before, I wanted to be an actress when I grew up. My ultimate goal was to win an Oscar for at least one of many outstanding performances that I would be sure to give.
Unfortunately, that dream hasn’t quite come true yet, but I not only attended an awards ceremony last night – I also co-hosted it!
As you would all know, CML Offshore Recruitment launched CMLTV earlier this year. CMLTV allows us to partner with clients to present Cayman to the world as an amazing place to live and work. Viewers can virtually walk down our golden beaches, meet the people that could one day be teaching their children and be assured that when they make the move to Cayman they will still have access to first class health facilities and fine dining. We are committed to show the world that we live in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Last night, CMLTV celebrated all of the videos that were produced in 2011 by hosting our First Annual CMLTV Awards ceremony at the Rendezvous Bar at Grand Pavilion. As is true to form for most events, nothing seemed to be going right at the start of the night, but after all of the technical issues, we started the ceremony and were able to present the finalists to those in attendance.
Three awards were given out – 2011 Hit Video (the video with the most views/hits), 2011 People’s Choice Award (the video with the most ‘likes’), and the 2011 CMLTV Video of the Year (chosen for its content, popularity and level of engagement).
It was a nerve racking wait for the finalists for each award, as they waited to hear their name announced as the winners. I am pleased to be able to share this year’s finalists and winners with you:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made it down to the event last night and all those throughout the year that have shown support for CMLTV. It was a great night, and we hope to see more of you at next year’s event.
Congratulations to not only our winners, but each client who partnered with us to produce a video in 2011. We hope to work with you all again in 2012!
