About the opportunity

Scope and Key Responsibilities:

  • The Software Developer is responsible for assisting the Lead Developer with the development of a range of business applications. 
  • The selected candidate will participate in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, from the production of technical specifications, through to solution designs and code delivery. 
  • Works with the Lead Developer and other technical project managers and application managers to ensure that client expectations are met and that project schedules are adhered to. 
  • Interacts with end users to understand requirement specifications, perform analysis, documentation, design, and code test solutions, and write user manuals. 
  • Documents, develops, maintains and upgrades existing applications. 
  • Contributes to implementation efforts (UAT, QA, environment setup, end user support). 

About you

Key Skills and Qualifications Include 

  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required 
  • Minimum 5 years' of advanced hands-on experience developing professional applications on ASP.NET MVC and MVVM. 
  • A good understanding of OOP, architecture designs and patterns 
  • Knowledge of Web API, LINQ, Entity Framework. 
  • Hands-on experience with the latest web standards and technologies including ASP.NET MVC 5, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript 
  • Proficiency in SQL Server 2012. Must be able to create and modify stored procedures, functions, triggers, packages, views, SSRS reports, and database links. 
  • Thorough understanding of application-level security issues, and tools and methodologies that assure the security of web-facing systems. 
  • Experience working with REST, SOAP and data interchange standards including XML and JSON. 
  • Experience with Mobile development for IOS a plus. 

Excellent interpersonal, organisational, written communication, oral communication and listening skills. Must be a self-motivated and results-oriented team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Salary will be commensurate with experience, and is expected to be in the range US$ 80,000 to US$110,000.
