Work on some of the most high-profile security and sensitive data projects whilst enjoying a work-life balance that is impossible to beat.
CML is the leading recruitment agency for offshore IT positions, with the longest-standing IT recruitment desk and trusted relationships with all top employers. CML at its founding was set out to be the primary Financial Services recruitment agency not only in Cayman, but Offshore, and over the past 15 years has garnered this reputation whilst boasting an ever-growing client base. With the majority of Cyber Security positions being recruited in these same financial and legal firms, CML has strong ties to our clients to give you the inside scoop on office culture, salaries, and what the different organizations look for in new hires.
What to Expect:
Aside from the high salaries, low tax, and beach lifestyle, the work itself can be particularly attractive with the prevalence of highly sensitive security needs, making Cyber Security paramount for many organizations on the island.
Generally speaking, Cyber Security is quite a new area here for tech professionals – historically a lot of companies didn’t place much focus on this area and left much of the security up to compliance teams rather than having a strong emphasis from a technology base, so quite a lot of the time you might be starting from an early base. This gives rise to the opportunity then to really put your mark on the company in terms of which security software they use.
What Experience is Needed?
As with many of the positions in the technology industry offshore, relevant certifications are highly sought after for new hires (many clients in the security space seek individuals with certs such as CIISP) alongside a strong working background within Cyber Security. For positions working with MSPs, candidates will need to have prior experience of being front-facing and dealing with clients.
As the Cyber Security space is relatively a new niche on island, some of the positions we see are hybrid networking security positions so sometimes a strong knowledge of networking is also required.Request a Consultation
