What Experience is Needed?

Many of the roles in this space come up at a senior or lead/QA manager level, so having a robust background will be desirable. In many jurisdictions, often times companies will not have a test function or function that is working properly, which has left developers taking ownership of test also. As such, it is very useful to have experience setting up a test function within an organisation as you will sometimes be the 1st QA professional to join the team.


It is useful also to have both automation & manual experience as some organisations here are only very early in their automation journey. Strong soft skills are essential as you will be working alongside development teams and colleagues in various departments.
